Campeones Cup is a foundational element of the landmark partnership between MLS (Major League Soccer) and Liga MX — two of the top soccer leagues in North America. Along with Leagues Cup, it is one of several on-field competitive events developed to showcase and heighten the rivalry between the two leagues. At the same time, Campeones Cup is a centerpiece for collaborative efforts off the field, including a special focus on social responsibility to drive positive change.

In collaboration with our partners at Major League Soccer, we streamlined the creative process by staging pre approved creative assets that served as the benchmark and placeholders for all possible player changes or unknowns that were faced. This ensured the creative could turn around quickly, while still having high impact across all marketing and advertising channels.
A record 40,128 fans were in attendance for the match hosted by Atlanta United FC at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Josef Martinez netted the winning goal to hand Atlanta United a 3-2 victory over Club America and lift the 2019 Campeones Cup after an epic game in Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
